Short answer

All three boxes hold about 2,000 watt-hours, so they run a fridge for about 14 to 15 hours by our math. They differ in output, weight, extra batteries, charging, and warranty, and this guide shows each one from the makers' own numbers.

All three boxes hold about 2,000 watt-hours, so they run a fridge for about 14 to 15 hours by our math. They differ in output, weight, extra batteries, charging, and warranty, and this guide shows each one from the makers' own numbers. Watts: how fast something uses power. Watt-hours: how much power a box holds.

These numbers come from each maker's own page. "We're checking" means we do not have a maker number yet.

Surge: a short burst some things need to start. Switch-over time: how fast the box takes over when the wall power stops. Smaller is faster.

Life of the battery

A cycle is one full charge and use. Each maker lists how many cycles the box takes before it falls to a set share of its first size, 80% or 70%. The makers use different cut-offs, so read them with care.

BoxCycles listed
Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 23,000 or more, to 80% of its size. Anker's product page says 4,000, and we list the lower number.
Jackery Explorer 2000 v24,000 cycles, to 70% or more of its size
BLUETTI Elite 200 V26,000 or more, to 80% of its size

Jackery counts down to 70% and the others to 80%, so the numbers are not the same test. LiFePO4 is a type of battery, and all three use it.

What each box runs, and for how long

Take the box size in watt-hours. Keep 85% of it, because some power is lost inside the box. Then divide by the watts of the thing you plug in.

2,048 Wh × 0.85 ÷ 120 W = about 15 hours

That is a fridge on the C2000 Gen 2. Our tools count 120 watts for a fridge. The table does the same math for six more things.

All three can send out the watts for a fridge and a space heater together. That is 120 plus 1,500, or 1,620 watts. Our tools count 2,000 watts of surge to start a window AC. The C2000 Gen 2 and the Jackery list more than that. For the BLUETTI, we're checking.

Charging

BoxWall charge, as the maker lists itMaximum solar input
Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2Full in 88 minutes (1,800 W input). With wall and solar together (2,600 W): 58 minutes.800 W
Jackery Explorer 2000 v21.75 hours with the AC adapter. About 1.7 hours in Emergency Super Charge, turned on in the Jackery app. The two numbers are close, so we're checking why.400 W
BLUETTI Elite 200 V280% in about 1.1 hours (product page). The manual says 100% in 1.4 hours at 1,800 W.1,000 W

Solar time is at least the box size divided by the solar watts. That is at least 2.5 hours for the C2000 Gen 2, 5.1 for the Jackery, and 2.0 for the BLUETTI. Real sun gives fewer watts, so it takes longer. We're checking how many hours of strong sun to expect.

Which one fits you

  • You may add more battery later: only the C2000 Gen 2 lists an expansion battery, up to 4,096 watt-hours total.
  • You want the most output: the Elite 200 V2 lists 2,600 watts.
  • You carry the box often: the Jackery lists 39.5 pounds, the lowest of the three. The Elite 200 V2 lists 53.4.
  • You want the longest battery-life number: the Elite 200 V2 lists 6,000 cycles or more, to 80%.
  • You want the longest warranty: the C2000 Gen 2 and the Elite 200 V2 list 5 years, the Jackery lists 3.
  • You use solar: the Elite 200 V2 lists up to 1,000 watts of solar input, the C2000 Gen 2 lists 800, and the Jackery lists 400.

Why this box? It lists 2,400 watts of output, 4,000 watts of surge, 140 watts on USB-C, a 5-year warranty, and room for one expansion battery. The other two have strengths too, as the list shows.

Questions people ask

Are these three the same size?

Almost. They hold 2,048, 2,042, and 2,073 watt-hours, a gap of about 1.5%.

How long will they run a fridge?

About 14 to 15 hours by our math at 120 watts. Your fridge may use less on average, so you may get more, as our fridge guide explains.

Can I add more batteries later?

Only the C2000 Gen 2 lists an expansion battery, one, for up to 4,096 watt-hours total. Jackery says the Explorer 2000 v2 is not expandable, and BLUETTI says the same for the Elite 200 V2.

Which has the most solar input?

The Elite 200 V2 lists up to 1,000 watts, the C2000 Gen 2 lists 800, and the Jackery lists 400.
