EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus
A small box that can grow. It keeps Wi-Fi and phones going for about 6.9 hours. A fridge is right at its limit, so we would not plan on one.

How long it runs your things
Estimates. Your devices may use more or less. One thing at a time, from a full box. We keep 85% of the watt-hours, because some power is lost on the way out.
What we think
The RIVER 3 Plus is a small box. It holds 286 watt-hours. Watt-hours are how much power a box holds. It gives up to 600 watts. Watts are how fast something uses power. Its surge is 1,200 watts. Surge is a short burst some things need to start, like a fridge motor.
What that means in an outage
By our math, counting Wi-Fi at 15 watts and phones at 20:
- Wi-Fi and phones: about 6.9 hours.
- CPAP: about 6.1 hours, by our math, for a CPAP that uses about 40 watts with the humidifier off or low. Check the watts on your own machine.
These are estimates. Your devices may use more or less.
About fridges
A fridge can need about 1,200 watts to start. That is this box's whole surge. So by our math it can start a fridge only with nothing else plugged in, and then run it for about 2.0 hours. We would not plan on it.
Why this one and not the Anker SOLIX C300
Both hold about the same: 286 watt-hours here, 288 in the C300. The difference is watts and growth. This box gives 600 watts; the C300 gives 300. EcoFlow says you can add an extra battery, for up to 858 watt-hours in all. The C300 is easier to carry: 9.1 pounds against 10.4 here.
Moving it and charging it
10.4 pounds is about a gallon and a quarter of water. EcoFlow says it charges from empty to full in 60 minutes from the wall.
The limit
286 watt-hours is small. EcoFlow also lists 1,200 watts for a mode called X-Boost, meant for heating things. We count 1,200 only as surge.
What we could not confirm: nothing. Every line in the spec table comes from EcoFlow's US site.
Bottom line: the small box to pick if you want Wi-Fi and phones for an evening and may add a battery later.
Good for
Keeping Wi-Fi and phones on in a short outage, with the choice to add an extra battery later.
Not for
A fridge you count on. By our math it can start one only with nothing else plugged in.
