- Surge: a short burst for start-ups
- 9.5 lb
- Weight: how heavy to carry
How long it runs your things
Estimates. Your devices may use more or less. One thing at a time, from a full box. We keep 85% of the watt-hours, because some power is lost on the way out.
What we think
The Elite 30 V2 is a small box. It holds 288 watt-hours. Watt-hours are how much power a box holds. It gives up to 600 watts. Watts are how fast something uses power.
What that means in an outage
By our math, counting Wi-Fi at 15 watts and phones at 20:
- Wi-Fi and phones: about 7.0 hours.
- CPAP: about 6.1 hours, by our math, for a CPAP that uses about 40 watts with the humidifier off or low. Check the watts on your own machine.
These are estimates. Your devices may use more or less.
About fridges
A fridge can need a surge of about 1,200 watts. Surge is a short burst some things need to start. BLUETTI does not publish a surge number for this box, so that line says We're checking. With only its 600 watts to go on, by our math this box does not start a fridge.
BLUETTI lists a mode called Power Lifting for heating things up to 1,500 watts. Its manual says the real output is still 600 watts. That is not surge.
Why this one and not the Anker SOLIX C300
Both hold 288 watt-hours. This box gives 600 watts; the C300 gives 300. It weighs 9.5 pounds; the C300 weighs 9.1. For a fridge, look at a medium box like the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, which has a 3,000-watt surge.
Moving it and charging it
9.5 pounds is a little more than a gallon of water. BLUETTI says it charges to 80% in 45 minutes and to full in 70 minutes from the wall.
The limit
BLUETTI says it does not take an extra battery. We're also checking how many wall-style outlets it has. BLUETTI's page counts 9 outlets of all kinds and does not say.
Bottom line: a light box for Wi-Fi, phones and a laptop, with more watts than the C300.
Good for
Keeping Wi-Fi, phones and a laptop on in a short outage. At 9.5 lb it is easy to carry.
Not for
A fridge. By our math this box does not start one.
